South-East London duo Raf and O AKA Raf Mantelli and O Richard Smith have marked out their song and sound world since 2008 releasing five albums to high critical acclaim. Purveyors of dramatic art-pop, they are praised by many for their emotional depth of songwriting, intensity of performance and unique approach, press includes The Quietus, FACT, Electronic Sound and amongst their admirer, Mike Garson praised Raf and O's version of Lady Grinning Soul. The duo have set music to Shakespeare, composed for theatre, contributed tracks to releases including Mitra Music For Nepal alongside Ryuichi Sakamoto and Nick Cave, they perform interpretations of Kate Bush and David Bowie and with special collaborations under their belt, they’ve played venues such as The Queen Elizabeth Hall and The Union Chapel.
