Artist Bio
Nick Sturms is a man torn between two worlds, with a sound born of conflict. Trying to find a middle ground between the all-too-often warring factions of Texas and Nashville, the Austin native forged a sound with both "dirt road grit", and "music row sensability". At the age of fourteen Nick began making his living making music, landing his first touring gig playing guitar for Texas country artist Allie Danielle. While playing with Allie in Nashville; Nick met and became friends with Lisa Johnson, then publisher at Little House Music Publishing, and her husband the legendary songwriter/ producer Doug Johnson. They became interested in the sixteen year old and encouraged him to move to Nashville. He did, and within months signed a publishing deal with Lisa's new publishing venture Sweet Renegade Music.
Since that fateful day, Nick has been polishing his craft. He has had songs recorded by several artists, most notably Russell Hitchcock (of Airsupply), Who released his single "Hold Me Like You Love Me". He has toured as a guitar player with numerous recording artists. Most importantly, as an artist, Nick has awed crowds around the country with his edgy, innovative sound.
Nick has performed in fourty-eight of the fifty states, and can't wait to hit the other two. He has opened up for many great artists including: Blake Shelton, Keith Anderson, Jamie O'neal, Lee Brice, Jerrod Neimann, Justin Moore, Travis Tritt and Keith Urban.
Nick has been fortunate in his career thus far, and is looking forward to the future. He can't wait to come play a city near you.
