Hi. I'm Lelia Broussard.
I'm a musician. I write songs and sing them.
Most recently, I played bass, and sang in a band called Secret Someones. We were signed to Cherrytree Records, and had the great fortune of touring all over this great country. (and a little bit in Australia and New Zealand! We held koalas, and it was one of the most glorious moments of my adult life) We met so many wonderfully kind humans along the way who believed in what we were doing. We put out an album that I'm incredibly proud of, and shortly after our album came out the label we were signed to folded, and unfortunately so did our little band. Such is life in the music industry, and they say all good things must come to an end.
Before I was in Secret Someones, I was a solo artist. I put out a few records independently. Toured all over the US, and a bit in Europe. I got to play Bonnaroo, made up a song on the spot about a lady named Terry on Jimmy Fallon, had a short stint on The Voice, I was featured in Rolling Stone a handful of times over the summer of 2011, and strangely I was *almost* on the cover of it. It's a long story...
Anyway, now I'm living in Los Angeles and going back to the beginning. Writing lots of songs, forming a new project, doing lots of yoga, cooking, making a new record, talking to you here on the internet, trying to figure shit out. Aren't we all? That's all I got.
