Artist Bio

Doug Young is based in the San Francisco South Bay area, where he hosts a monthly guitar showcase that has featured performers like Mark Hanson, Dorian Michael, Thomas Leeb, Steve Baughman, Teja Gerken, and many more. Doug's CDs, Laurel Mill and the more recent Closing Time, features his solo guitar playing, compositions and arrangements. Mel Bay published his best-selling instructional book: "Understanding DADGAD: For Fingerstyle Guitar." He is a contributing editor for Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and has also been published in Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine.
