Don Schlitz is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame (2017), and the Songwriter Hall of Fame (2012).
Don is the 2-time Grammy Award winner singer-songwriter of "The Gambler" and "Forever and Ever, Amen"; 3 CMA Song of the Year Awards and 2 ACM Song of Year Awards; 24 #1 singles and a Broadway Musical. In 2010, he was honored with the Academy of Country Music's Poet's Award for lifetime achievement in songwriting.
