Artist Bio
Louisiana-born Andy Davis broke onto the scene in 2004 with a charming, acoustic debut called “Thinks of Her,” that quickly spread among college campuses nationwide. Based in Nashville, TN then, Davis quickly hit the road opening for artists such as Jakob Dylan, Colbie Caillat, Marc Broussard, needtobreathe, and more, collecting fans one city at a time.
Since then, Davis has released six studio albums, including two produced by Mitchell Froom (Randy Newman, Crowded House, Tom Waits, Sheryl Crow), one of which was made possible by a Kickstarter campaign that raised over $41,000 in 30 days. Davis was also a founding member of the “Ten Out of Tenn,” a critically-acclaimed collective of Nashville singer/songwriters (Griffin House, Katie Herzig, Matthew Perryman Jones, Andrew Belle, etc) who joined forces in super-band fashion for a collaborative tour, documented in the award-winning film, “Any Day Now.”
In 2018, Davis launched a project called “Save the Song Fairies,” where he wrote and recorded a new song every week for the entire year—52 songs in 52 weeks—and releasing them exclusively to his song club members. In 2019 he also launched an online community called FINISHIT (www.finishit.club) where members commit to their own 52-week creative challenges and share their work each week for accountability and encouragement.
A multi-instrumentalist with old-school charm, a 12-year track record, and a pulse for the often irregular heartbeat of human relationships, Andy Davis continues to engage longtime fans and win new ones.
