Artist Bio

My name is Ailie MacK. I am a singer and songwriter, and I believe that music is the truest expression of myself. My songwriting process is very much grounded in the lyrics because, for me, the lyrics tell the story, dictate the rhythm and the mood, and become the melody I sing. I have studied jazz and pop music for decades and there is a sort of marriage of the two that has occurred sonically in my songs - I love dissonance and blue notes and I love the simplicity of a great pop hook. As a singer, the vocals are usually front and center and, when possible, I will throw vocal harmonies into an arrangement because I love them! It’s all a labor of inspiration and love.

I am so excited to be able to share the music and play these one-of-a-kind live sets for you here on StageIt, anywhere you want to sit at take a listen.
