Artist Bio
Originally from Northern Michigan, Tracey Lloyd is an American singer-songwriter. After singing in church as a child, Tracey spent her adult years perfecting her craft. At first she was a singer who didn't play an instrument and a songwriter with no real idea how to get the music out. As a solution she learned to play guitar and began the timeless musician's journey of serious songwriting.
With no formal musical training, Tracey's natural skills help her to write, perform, and record songs. Tracey wrote her first song in 2003. long before she could play guitar. With persistence and tenacity she continued working toward the ultimate goal of recording an album.
Writing, recording, and busking her way across the United States, Tracey is known for her American Flag guitar and her boisterous, entertaining street performances. As an indie artist armed with massive marketing training, Tracey is successfully building her brand through internet and social media.
This year Tracey's dream is coming to fruition. Her upcoming album "Thumbs Up & Legs Out" is scheduled for release early fall of 2016. The album includes the hit single "God's Eyes", six more songs, and a bonus Christmas track.
All proceeds from this album are being donated to Morgan's House, a special program designed to help children who are victims of sexual attack. The idea is to provide houses, in every town, worldwide, where hurt kids and their non-offending parent(s) or guardian(s) can live for a set time without real world pressure.
The single most important factor in healing a traumatized child is rebuilding trust.
Without the time and support required to heal, these children and their families suffer extensive emotional damage.
Sometimes families break apart. Without intervention, the kids often grow up to be violent sex offenders, drug addicts, and/or commit suicide.
With intervention, with a place to heal, and time to do it, these families can grow back together. These hurt children can become loving, functional adults rather than becoming the next high school shooter.
