Rachel is a classical-crossover artiste from Malta. She is also focusing most of her recent time on songwriting and her aim is to get an EP of her original songs together. She completed a Masters in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting in the UK, where she took on various lead roles in the conservatoire’s musicals. She also has a Psychology (Hons) Degree from the University of Malta and was the Head of Music at Masquerade School for the Performing Arts for four years. Rachel most recently played the iconic role of Maria in The Sound of Music here in Malta's MCC, as well as recently also playing Regina in Malta's longest running musical Rock of Ages and was a guest soloist at Malta's largest concert Rockestra 2016. Rachel recently launched her debut solo album Forever Yours in Malta as well as at The Pheasantry in London. Rachel formed part of the classical-crossover quartet All Angels, with whom she has performed at Wembley Stadium (Champions League Final 2011) in front of 90,000 live spectators and millions of TV viewers, in front of over 20,000 people at the O2 arena, at the House of Commons, for HRH Earl of Wessex at Spencer House, Manchester arena, Birmingham LG arena, Sheffield arena and the Royal Albert Hall. Together they released the EP ‘Starlight’ which they launched at Covent Garden’s Apple Store. Rachel has performed alongside leading artistes such as Alexandra Burke, Katherine Jenkins, Dionne Bromfield and Lesley Garrett. UK theatre roles include lead in Persephone (Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and lead 'Cassie' in Make Believe (Henley Fringe Festival). Rachel also featured in Me and My Girl (London Palladium) and particularly enjoyed performing as a guest artiste in Beyond the Barricade UK tour and playing Arabic singer Abdel Akle alongside Dominic Cooper and Philip Quast in the Tamahori film The Devil's Double. Rachel performed alongside Kim Criswell at the HSBC Summer Concert with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and was also a soloist at the MPO’s Movie Spectacular. Rachel also forms part of the Animae Gospel Choir and recently participated in their national concerts. Rachel was also a guest artiste in Teatru Unplugged 16, ‘Catherine’ in 1565 The Musical in Concert (featuring the MPO), soloist in various VOICES concerts and lead soloist in revues Simply Webber and Comedy Tonight. She has also played the ‘Princess’ in pantomimes Sleeping Beauty and The Curse of Snow White. Rachel recently played the challenging role of Cathy in Masquerade’s musical The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown.
