I started singing in choirs when I was little. Around the time I was 14, I began to write my own songs. In 2009 when I was 15 I recorded my first demos in a home studio. In the summer of that year I went to Toronto's SongStudio workshop and showed my demo to the workshop's director, Blair Packham. He was the first person outside my family who told me I had a talent for songwriting and he introduced me to other music industry pros. That's when everything changed and I began to pursue this music thing as a career. I love to write and perform songs. And I really hope people like them, because in the end I write for people. I have been very fortunate to be able to record a full album with a great producer (Greig Nori) and I am very thankful to everyone who worked on the record. I'm especially thankful to FACTOR for helping with the funding. It's not cheap to make good recordiings in spite of what you may hear. It's not the same to record your song on an Apple laptop with just your guitar as it is to record it in a professional studio with professional musicians, engineers and producers. I look forward to recording more songs for you in the near future. In the meantime, you can stream my songs on YouTube, SoundCloud, Maddystore.com, MySpace, etc., and you can buy them on iTunes worldwide or my online strore. If you like my music, I really like you, but if you buy my music or come to my shows, I love you, Lol. xoxo, Maddy
