Artist Bio
Estelle’s climactic rise from local West London MC to Grammy Award winning international artist is a story of legend. As a recording artist, Estelle has released 5 solo albums and countless
features and collaborations that have crossed multiple genres and generations of artists. On the heels of her acclaimed 2004 debut The 18th Day, Estelle soared to international prominence on 2008’s Shine. The double platinum single, “American Boy” featuring Kanye West, won a 2009 GRAMMY® in the category of “Best Rap Sung Collaboration”. She released the follow up All Of Me in 2012, and the single “Thank You” received a GRAMMY®
nomination for “Best R&B Performance.” 2015’s True Romance yielded the anthemic Gold single “Conqueror.” Guest starring in a popular episode of Fox’s Empire, it stood out as “one of the show’s highest-charting songs” and fueled the Original Soundtrack to a #1 bow on the Billboard Top 200. Estelle’s 2018 release “Lover’s Rock” represented a full circle moment for Estelle, dedicating the entire soundscape of the album to those initial Caribbean and African sounds that originally influenced her. While simultaneously communicating the universal narrative that, “love is possible."
With each album she has been able to expose listeners, from all walks of life, to a myriad of ideas, influences and sounds from across the globe. This led to Estelle’s position as a respected curator and tastemaker. This curation has evolved into playlists, event activations, and concerts. The latter reached a new height with the first ever Dancehall & Afrobeat Link Up presented by Estelle at the Essence Festival in 2019. Fans of R&B and Hip Hop were given a musical experience exposing them to artists from across the Reggae and African music diaspora. Never one to be limited Estelle’s vocal talents have ventured into the world of animation. Estelle served as the voice of a lead character named Garnet, on Cartoon Network’s Emmy Nominated hit show Steven Universe. Giving the cartoon world another superhero of color, the show has received critical acclaim for its music, themes, and characterization. Estelle recently launched a new anchor show on Apple Music Radio aptly name "The Estelle Show" that airs M-F from 11am-1pm est.
With all the accomplishments in Estelle’s career, she understands that she could not have made it to this point without the help and guidance of family and mentors. Because of this, Estelle runs her foundation All of Me, which focuses on educating and expanding the horizons of young people through college scholarships and volunteer opportunities abroad.
No matter the success, Estelle is dedicated to growth and evolution, giving the world quality art that they can carry into their own lives.
