Clara Helms is an independent Australian Classical Crossover Pop Opera – Contemporary Singer – Songwriter, Actor, Dancer and Speaker.

An internationally sought after Australian solo headline singer – songwriter, Clara has performed around Australia, Asia, South Pacific Islands, Germany, Italy, and New Zealand at exclusive luxury events in association with celebrities like David Beckham to Il Divo to Prime Ministers etc.

This passionate young lyric coloratura soprano, called the "Voice on an Angel" has recently released her self-funded Debut EP. The EP consists of a breathtaking cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and three original compositions Clara wrote 100% the lyrics and the melody.

Clara’s original ‘Inspirational’ is a poignant tribute ballad written in memory and dedication to dear friend and iconic Perth Fashion Designer, Ruth Tarvydas, who tragically passed away in 2014. Ruth’s dresses were worn by many celebrities and Clara herself can be seen wearing some of her beautiful gowns like the one she wore on the talent show Australia Got Talent where Clara was a finalist.
Ruth was always very supportive, sponsoring Clara in her exquisite couture for all exclusive performance events and she often asked Clara, “write that into a song, beautiful girl”. Ruth’s designs make women feel more invincible, beautifully elegant and powerfully sexy.
So as a cathartic release to deal with grief, Clara wrote this exquisite song, “Inspirational” in appreciation to acknowledge a compassionate woman who believed in her and to empower women to love themselves more and know that they are not alone.

Original, “Who Am I”, draws on influences of Pop Opera with a glass shattering high vocal cadenza (Range A3-D6: think the 5th Element Song) with sensual Contemporary ballad-style verses and infused with a pulsing Techno Dance style overtone.

Original, ‘It’s Over’, is another fantastic piece of song writing, an empowering Anti-Cyber Bullying song which was inspired by personal experiences in its worse form because the person threatened Clara’s life. It was written with the aim of raising awareness of the trauma associated with Cyber Bullying and with the goal of inspiring people to find their strength, passions and self belief.
It is about a man’s one-sided obsession with an innocent girl turning into something evil and her finding the conviction to stand up and be strong. Writing this song was also a catalyst for Clara starting her Foundation, “Belief Beyond Bullies” about Raising Awareness and Self Empowerment.

Through Belief Beyond Bullies Clara shares the tools and techniques she has developed in raising awareness and instilling self-empowerment. Clara speak at schools to inspire our youth of today to gain the determination, definiteness of purpose and the desire to achieve their goals and teach students, whose scholastic and personal achievements are being thwarted by bullying, about the exciting life changing actions they can employ to achieve happiness and success.

As an actor, Clara has been a Lead or Featured Lead in 3 feature films, 9 short films, a TVC and a Webseries and has have extensive Speech & Drama training with certificates from Trinity College London TCL and Australia Music Examination Board AMEB

Clara is also a professionally trained dancer (commenced study at age three), with Honours, specialising from Classical Ballet to jazz, tap, ballroom, character, contemporary and Argentine tango.
