Christopher Hines is a leader and music extraordinaire. Born in Houston, Texas on September 14, 1971, to gospel recording legend, Rev. George Hines and wife Shirley Hines, he was predestined to make his mark on the world of music. With a football in one hand and drumsticks in the other, Chris began his path to perfecting both his passions at age 3. By the time he reached 9 years old, he was performing with gospel great, Rev. Shirley Cesar. While giving his all on drums during performances with his father, Chris was inspired to do more. At age 11 he began playing guitar and joined the renowned Lamar Fleming Jr. High School Jazz and Concert Band. Six years later, he wrote his first song. He then took a hiatus away from his musical talent to pursue a career in athletics. Finishing from Smiley High School in the top 10% of his graduating class, he was awarded a full athletic scholarship to Langston University where he went on to serve as captain of the first championship team in the university's history. While at Langston, he pledged and currently is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
Having picked up his guitar again, along with his talents for music, he helped form the Legacy Band after attending college. Chris is the founder and CEO of both Crystal Clear Records and Exclusive Music and Management. Having played with thousands of artists, Christopher’s goal is to be the most recorded musician and producer in history. He truly believes and is quick to inform anyone that; “Music is the greatest gift from the Creator.”
