Author Jay has been writing poetry since she was 21 years old. She never thought there would be any use for her poetry except to reflect back on what she had endured throughout her life.
Challenged with awakening the poet in her, Author Jay Doubleu was asked if she did poetry. The answer was no. She never even considered it. Nevertheless she rose to the occasion performing some of her original poetic works weeks later at a Houston club, and the rest is still coming to past. She realized at that moment spitting her poetry awoke something within her.
Author Jay never looked back. She has spit on dozens of stages from Houston Texas to Seattle Washington. Currently she is completing her debut poetry album entitled "Poetic Love" produced by Aflat Muziq. This album infuses conscious and passionate content over R&B, Pop and Hip-Hop beats. Author Jay Doubleu is being called the modern day Maya Angelou and Nikki Giovanni. Take a listen and see why.
